Overview
Surgical lighting systems are becoming imaging hubs. As they integrate high-performance cameras, they support surgical recording, medical education, remote consultation, robotic-assisted procedures, AI-based image analysis, and real-time collaboration — and that raises what the video link underneath has to do.
Conventional transmission is reaching its practical limits. Electrical cable is exposed to electromagnetic interference, mechanical fatigue from continuous arm movement, bulky routing, weight, and distance constraints.
