Where It Began
We began in Japan—a country where precision is a cultural value, engineering is practiced with the discipline of craft, and reliability is a promise. Our engineers were shaped in telecom industries, where the fundamentals of optical transmission were forged.
OptoHub — Est. 2002
OptoHub was established in 2002 as a subsidiary of Mimaki Electronic Components Co., Ltd., a leading optical and electrical component design & manufacturer. As the industry evolved, we focused on one discipline: high-performance video transmission over optical fiber—uniting Mimaki Electronic Components’ deep transmission expertise with OptoHub’s precision component engineering.
8K & Tokyo 2020
When Japan pioneered 8K broadcasting, we were there. When the first long-distance, uncompressed 8K fiber links were needed, we built them. Our technology powered live 8K broadcasting at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games—and today continues to support live sport broadcasts, one of the most demanding production environments in Japanese television.

All products are developed and manufactured through an integrated model—design, manufacturing, and validation under one engineering discipline. From optical components to transmission devices, everything is engineered to deliver uncompromised performance over optical fiber, under the OptoHub brand for the U.S. market.
